Commercial Showers

We've greatly expanded our commercial showers with the additions of some special water saving shower heads designed specifically for commercial users.
Sold under the Gentech banner and made by Genebre of Spain, these are heavy duty anti-vandal shower heads fitted with special regulators which limit the maximum water consumption to 7 litres per minute irrespective of how high the water pressure - A particularly useful feature for public showers as these are constantly in use so the savings in both water and power can be substantial (up to 60%)

Filling the gaps

It's nice to find products that seem to fill a gap and here's one that's quite useful and unusual and seems to offer a solution to anyone who needs a wall outlet providing water to two separate outlets, for example to say a shower hose and a separate douche handset:

Update to HTM64

Our latest reference article added to Notjusttaps summarises the latest NHS Estate Guidelines.
Although HTM64 is still relevant, this article sums up key requirements as specified by the latest NHS Estate Guidelines/ DOH Sanitary Assemblies
These guidelines do supersede HTM64 but in essence are much the same.
Hopefully readers will find that this cuts out much of the 'bumpf' and helps healthcare professionals understand what they need to know in order to make informed decisions when upgrading premises or selecting sanitary equipment.

Kitchen Waste Disposal Units

We've added a range of Food Waste Disposal Units
Made by Reginox. there is a choice of 5 to start although no doubt we'll be adding different manufacturers once we have got to grips with this new product area.
These WDUs  (that's the terminology for waste disposal units) are an important compliment to our ranges of kitchen sinks and kitchen taps.

Ergonomic Wash Basins

We've added as a special order product, a new Ergonomic Wash Basin available on a 10 day delivery from Nofer of Spain.
The ergonomic basin has a special concave design which allows wheelchair users or someone using a walking frame to get nearer the tap at the back.
There are also 2 wide flat panels each side of the bowl which can be used as elbow rests.
It's suitable for Doc M public washrooms so that's the category we have put it in.
