Was it the algorithm?

I have been puzzling why our visitor number have fallen over the past few weeks whilst orders have fallen more. It does seem (having discussed this at length) that the latest google update, designed to improve quality of search has been at work. When these things happen it is frustrating and sometimes frightening to see your site falling particularly as you can only wait, but in the long run, if it weeds out the poor sites than it is not a bad thing. If this is like previous changes we could see a dramatic jump as soon as next month!
